Frequently Asked Questions

How do you track click-through and sales?
1. A surfer clicks on an affiliate program link (text or banner) on your web-site.
2. The surfer is sent to our web-site. At this point we place a cookie with your affiliate ID on the surfers computer/browser.
3. When that same surfer later places an order on our web-sites (even weeks later after having tried the software) we then see this cookie and store this information (your affiliate ID) with the order.

Unlike other affiliate programs, we do not use "1x1 tracking images" to record sales associated with your account.
We can do this because we do not use a third party affiliate tracking system - everything is handled directly on our own web-site.
This means that sales will be record on the correct affiliate ID, even if the surfer has images turned off in their browser.

Who pays the affiliates? When are the affiliates paid?
We (JH Software) pay affiliates directly in US$ through PayPal.
Payments are made monthly on the 15th of each month for all sales recorded in the previous month.
For affiliates in countries where PayPal is not available, we can pay you by bank wire transfer, or Western Union money order.
The first payment will be made after the second sale has been recorded.
Payout will Balances smaller than $25.00 are carried forward to the next month.

What are the requirements for joining?
The following sites are not allowed to participate: adult sites, sites that display adult banners, bikini sites, warez, ROM, or emulator sites.

How long does it take to get approved as an affiliate?
When you join online, your account will be active immediately, and will start recording click-through and sales as soon as you place the links on your web-site.
We will review your web-site for appropriate contents within a week and will notify you by e-mail if we find any problems.

I don't live in the United States. Can I participate?
Yes! We welcome affiliates from around the globe.

I own another web site. Can I put paid links on all of my web sites?
Yes, but please e-mail us a list of all the URLs that will be displaying the links.
